Vertical Oyster Garden Workshop
Help Save Tampa Bay!
Here's a fun and meaningful way to give back to our local waters! The City of Oldsmar Environmental Management team is hosting a free Vertical Oyster Garden (VOG) Workshop at R.E. Olds Park - and you get to take your creation home!
You'll learn why oysters are so vital to Tampa Bay's ecosystem (did you know one oyster can filter 50 gallons of water per day?!), how to install a VOG, and actually build one using pre-drilled recycled oyster shells. Hang it on your dock or seawall and watch it become a thriving habitat over time. It's hands-on, educational, and genuinely good for our bay. 🦪
