Celebrate America’s 250th with a Sky Full of Kites

The City of Oldsmar is marking America’s 250th birthday with a fun and creative outdoor celebration - and everyone is invited.

Head to the park for a festive afternoon where families can design and decorate their own patriotic kites before sending them soaring into the Florida sky. Inspired by Benjamin Franklin’s famous experiment, this event is all about creativity, community, and celebrating the red, white, and blue.

All supplies will be provided, including decorations and colorful kite tails to help your kite stand out. Just bring your friends, family, and your enthusiasm for flying kites.

This free community event is open to all ages and is a great way to enjoy the outdoors while celebrating a historic milestone for our country.
